Lost Side Of Town

Well it took a lot of digging to get this deep
Took a lot of laying by myself and losing sleep
Took a lot of aimless wandering around
To get this far out here on the lost side of town

It took a lot of dragging myself up and down the street
Took a lot of sweating out in the summer heat
Took a lot of stumbling and letting myself down
To end up another sad face on the lost side of town

And now it's gonna take spirit and its gonna take will
It's gonna take a lot more than a five dollar bill
Gonna take something that i still haven't found
To make my way out of the lost side of town

It took a lot of climbing to get out here on this limb
Took some bad timing and some chances that were slim
And it took a lot of acting like I really had it down
I was only heading for the lost side of town
Yeah I was only heading for the lost side of town

And now it's gonna take spirit and its gonna take will
It's gonna take a lot more than a five dollar bill
Gonna take a miracle to turn this thing around
And make my way out of the lost side of town
To make my way out of the lost side of town
To make my way out of the lost side of town
Down, down, letting myself down, I was only heading for the lost side of town
Yeah down, down, letting myself down, I was only heading for the lost side of town
Down, down, letting myself down, I was only heading for the lost side of town
